Tutoring opens this summer.
I'll be offering free one-on-one AP Physics 1 tutoring starting in June 2026, after my own AP exams wrap up. If you're interested, drop me an email and I'll let you know when bookings open.
Doing this right, not rushed
I'm a sophomore in high school taking AP Physics 1 myself this year, with my own AP exams in May. Trying to tutor seriously while preparing for my own tests would mean doing a bad job at both. So I'm waiting until summer to launch.
Starting in June 2026, I'll have the time to do this properly: prepping for each session, being present and focused during the hour, and actually helping students learn. That's worth the wait.
If you're a student getting ready for AP Physics 1 in the next school year, summer is actually the best time to get ahead. We can work through Units 1 and 2 before school starts, so you walk into your AP class already confident with the material instead of catching up. Same goes for any honors physics class.
Be the first to know when bookings open
If you'd like to book a session when tutoring opens in June, send me a quick email. I'll keep a list and reach out personally when I'm ready to start scheduling. No newsletter, no spam, just one email from me when bookings open.
What to include in your email:
- Your name and grade level
- What course you're taking or planning to take
- What you'd want help with (concept review, problem sets, getting ahead before school starts, etc.)
Send to:
Click the email above and your email app will open with the subject line already filled in.
When sessions start
The format
Sessions will be online (Google Meet or Zoom, your preference) and run about an hour. We'll use a shared whiteboard or document to work through problems together. Whatever's giving you trouble — concept review, homework problems, test prep, AP free-response practice — that's what we'll focus on.
It's actually free
No catch. Helping classmates work through problems is how I got better at physics in the first place, and teaching the material reinforces my own understanding. There's no cost, no hidden fee, no payment processor. Just a free hour of help when you need it.
I'm a high school student, not a professional
Worth saying clearly. I built this site while taking AP Physics 1 myself. What I bring is recent, hands-on familiarity with the material and patience for working through problems together. What I don't bring is decades of teaching experience or formal credentials. If your grade depends on getting a specific concept right tomorrow morning, your teacher is a better resource than I am. If you have time to learn alongside someone going through the same material, I'm a good fit.
Limited slots when bookings open
Even in summer, I can only do a few sessions per week (I have my own life and projects too). When bookings open in June, slots will go to the people on the notification list first. If you want to be sure you get one, sign up via the email above.
The full site is available right now
You don't have to wait for tutoring to start using First Principles Physics. Every unit is complete: lessons, worksheets, worked solutions, common mistakes, and a tutor's corner. If you can't wait until summer or sessions don't fit your schedule, the site itself should still serve you well.
Quick answers
When exactly will sessions start?
June 2026, after my AP exams finish in May. I'll email everyone on the notification list with a more specific date once it's set.
Can I sign up now even if I'm not sure I'll need a session?
Yes. Signing up just gets you on the list to be notified when bookings open. You're not committing to anything.
What if I need help before summer?
The full site is the best resource until then. Every unit has the lessons, worksheets, and worked solutions you'd cover in a tutoring session. Read through the unit lesson, attempt the worksheet problems, and check the common mistakes section. That covers most of what I'd say in a session anyway.
How long will sessions be?
About an hour each, when they start in June.
Can I book multiple sessions?
Yes, when bookings open. Some students will probably do one session and be set; others might book weekly leading up to the next school year. Whatever fits how you study.
Do you tutor subjects other than physics?
Right now, just AP Physics 1 and honors physics. I'd rather do one subject well than several subjects okay.
Can my parents email instead of me?
Sure. Just have them include the same info from section 02. I'll loop you in directly when bookings open.
